Spot Brand // Belt Drive Bikes

November 23, 2014

Huckleberry Bicycles is well-known for being the worlds smoothest Cannondale Dealer. We picked up Spot Brand Bicycles recently, and we're happy to announce that have already become their smoothest dealer too! Spot Brand is a great addition to our bike line-up. They make great belt drive bikes for all applications. Commuting, mounting biking, 'cross racing ; Spot has it covered. Now you can unchain your heart, and your bike. Using a belt instead of a chain to drive your bike has some advantages. It's Clean. The belt runs clean and dry. No oil, so you don't have to worry about trashing your trouser legs, or ruining someone's panty hose on BART. It's Quiet. The belt is quiet as a lamb. No squeaks, no creaks. You won't even hear yourself coming. It's low-maintenance. With no chain to replace, no derailleurs to adjust, it's really great for an everyday commuter bike. It's gonna last. The same things that make belt-drive low-maintenance also make it super-durable. So your money will go as far as you're willing to pedal. [/caption] We're focusing on Spot Brand's great lineup of commuter bikes. There are options for steel and aluminum frames, and different gearing options so you can find the right belt-drive commuter bike to fit your needs. The Dualie. The Dualie has a steel frame and fork, and a 2-speed kickback hub. You just "kick-back" while coasting to change gears. It's got the simplicity and clean lines of a single speed, but you get 2 gears. That's two for the price of one. Nice! The Spot Dualie is just $1300. [caption id="attachment_4808" align="alignleft" width="600"] The Spot Dualie [/caption] The Wazee. The Wazee is Spot's flagship steel commuter bike. It's got hydraulic disc brakes, and Shimano's 11-speed Alfine shifting. Sweetness. Oh and yeah, the Wazee's got a sweet Oakland A's paint job. Go A's!...maybe next year. The Spot Wazee goes for $2350. [caption id="attachment_4807" align="alignleft" width="600"] The Spot Wazee. Very versatile and you just gotta love that A's paint-job.[/caption] The Acme. The Acme is Spot's aluminum complement to the Wazee. Same awesome hydraulic brakes and 11-speed Alfine shifting, but on an aluminum frame with a carbon fork. Super sweet! The Spot Acme is light, fast, and it goes for $2300. It's tops. [caption id="attachment_4805" align="alignleft" width="600"] The Spot Acme. She's a beaut.[/caption] The Ajax. This model sports a lightweight aluminum frame with a carbon fork. Wired Magazine gave this bike a Gear of the Year award. The Spot Ajax has disc brakes and an 8-speed Shimano Alfine hub. Basically it's an Acme with less expensive shit on it. At $1800, you'd be losing money if you didn't buy one of these.. And the Ajax is all-black so it goes with everything in your wardrobe. [caption id="attachment_4806" align="alignleft" width="600"] The Spot Ajax. Stealth.[/caption] We have these four Spot Brand models in stock, and we can order you anything you want. So come on down to Huckleberry town for a test ride. Our smoothness knows no bounds.
