How to Assemble Your New Bike from Huckleberry Bicycles: A Step-by-Step Guide

    February 23, 2024

So, you got your new bike! Thanks so much from ordering from us. We’re an independent bike shop and we package each order in our shop. I can tell you’re itching to get pedaling, there’s only a few easy things to do to get your bike road ready. We’ll walk you through the short process.

    Materials Needed:

    • Metric allen key set (usually a 4mm or 5mm)

    Step-by-Step Guide:

    1. Unboxing:
      • Open the box carefully and inspect the contents.
      • Ensure that all components are included.
      • Remove all the packaging from the frame and components.
    1. Attaching the Handlebar:

      • Align the handlebar with the stem using the markings in the center of the bar.
      • Use the allen wrench to secure the handlebar in place in an x-pattern. Tighten each bolt a little at a time to ensure that even force is being clamped on the bar.

Tighten the handlebar to the stem in a criss-cross X pattern to ensure equal pressure is applied to the handlebar

      1. Installing the Wheel:
        • Place the wheel in the dropouts.
        • Tighten the bolts securely using the metric allen wrench or install the quick release skewer, tighten, and clamp down.

      1. Inserting the Seat Post:
        • Slide the seat post into the designated slot.
        • Adjust the height based on personal preference.
        • Secure the seat post using the allen wrench.

      1. Final Check:
        • Ensure all bolts are tightened securely.
        • Double-check the alignment of the handlebar.

Boom! Look at that, you’ve got a ready-to-ride bike on your hands. Now, quit reading. It’s time to ride!

Remember, we're here to help! If you have any questions or need assistance during the assembly process, our support team is available via live chat or phone 7 days a week.
