We have our first shipment of Cannondale's new 2015 Synapse with SRAM Rival, disc brakes, and.... FENDERS! Yes. We love a bike with fenders. We got our first chance to see this bike live at Cannondale dealer camp last year -- that's where we go to check out all the awesome developments in Cannondale's product line and drink a lot of beer. It's somewhere beautiful in Utah, and as it turns out, I got a chance to take out a Synapse on a great ride. What a joy! The Synapse was my first real road bike and my first love.
Cannondale calls it, "Quite possibly, the first perfect road bike." That is a lot to live up to, but the Synapse has already proven itself, year-after-year, as one of the best all-around road bikes on the market. It doesn't hurt that this bike, in addition to sporting sweet matching fenders, has hydraulic disc brakes, not mechanical. As disc brakes start to take-off for road bikes, you are going to prefer the action on a hydraulic brake way more than the mechanical types.
